Does the COSMIQ support different water types?

Yes. For diving in highly saline water, the COSMIQ has a High Salinity setting that will influence the algorithm accordingly. Only use this setting if you know that the salinity of the water is significantly higher than normal. If used in normal sea water, your depth readings will be slightly shallower that those of other dive computers.

Note: Before firmware version 1.5, this feature existed as a Saltwater/Freshwater switch. However, since our freshwater calculation is optimized for most diving conditions (even for saltwater dives), we have turned this option off by default.
